When the Westland family could no longer make a living from fishing alone, they started looking for new ways to make money. That’s how they found a new passion: cheese! Mr. Westland had a clear mission: he wanted to market a kind of cheese that tasted just as good as the old cheese that his mother always brought from the Jordaan in Amsterdam. That cheese was savory with just enough sweetness and above all wonderfully soft and creamy.
